Target Audience

This activity has been designed to improve physician competence to assess the relationship between diabetes and sleep in order to aid in the proper diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from this disease. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Incorporate sleep health screening into routine medical practice and health maintenance
  • Recognize risk factors and symptoms of sleep-related problems linked to diabetes and pre-diabetes 
  • Properly diagnose sleep issues linked to diabetes and pre-diabetes 
  • Manage and counsel diabetic and pre-diabetic patients who are experiencing sleep issues
